Overview
This article shows you how to claim your university account using your Student ID number (SID), last name, and date of birth. It also explains how to set your password and what to do if you run into issues, including who to contact for help.
What You'll Need
- Student ID Number (SID)
- Device with Internet connection
Step-by-Step Instructions
Before you begin, you will need:
- Your Student ID Number (SID)
- If you cannot find your SID in your Offer of Admission, please contact the Office of Admissions at 303-315-2601.
How to Claim Your Account
- To claim your account, visit https://myaccount.ucdenver.edu/claim-account

2. Follow the instructions on the page. Enter your SID, Last Name, and Date of Birth.

If your account was not found, or already claimed, you will see an error message. More information can be found at the end of this document.
3. Read and Accept the Usage Policy.

4. Set your password and click Submit. Note, your password must meet all the requirements before you can submit. 
5. Success! You have now claimed your account. Before you proceed, note your Username and Email, which you will use along with your new password to access university resources.

- If you cannot rest your password, your account may not be created yet, or there may be incorrect information on your student record (such as your date of birth).
