Google Workspace is a cloud computing, productivity and collaboration tool designed for stringent security standards. It has been implemented to further support the entire spectrum of CU Anschutz research. Microsoft 365 will remain the university’s primary tool of choice and Google Workspace will be used as a collaboration tool for research purposes only.
Each user is allotted 20GB max storage. The following applications are included in this service offering:
- Google Drive
- Shared Drives (by request)
- Google Documents
- Google Slides
- Google Sheets
- Google Scripts
- Google Meets
- Google Groups
- Paperpile (for fee by request)
- Gemini
- NotebookLM (Usage limits below)

Training is available through Percipio and it is required for users to complete the relevant courses in order to gain access to Google Workspace. You will be directed to these courses following submission of your request for access to Google Workspace.
Who can use it:
- CU Anschutz Researchers
- Must meet this criteria:
- Have CU Anschutz university credentials
- At least one of the following for their research needs:
- Be a named resource on an awarded research grant received by a principal investigator (PI) and that is tracked by the university
- Be a named resource in a PI-run lab or center
- Have a provisioned account as part of a GCP research project
- Be nominated for an account by a CU Anschutz PI

How to proceed:
- Click on the Request Access to Google Workspace button on the right to open a ticket with the Cloud Computing team. Your request and eligibility will be reviewed and upon approval, you will be directed to complete a compliance training in Percipio.
