Report a Lost, Stolen or Missing Device

Description:

Report a university‑owned laptop, tablet, mobile phone, or other electronic device that is lost, stolen, or missing. Prompt reporting ensures appropriate security measures can be taken to protect university data and helps the IT security and compliance team respond quickly and coordinate any required follow up. If the device may have been stolen, you should also notify campus police or local law enforcement. 

Important:
If the loss occurred on campus, report it to CU Anschutz Police at 303-724-4444 or CU Denver Police at 303-556-5000. If it occurred off campus, file a report with the local police department.

How to proceed: 

  • Click the Report a Lost, Stolen, or Missing Device button on the right to submit a report about the missing university‑owned device. Provide as much detail as possible, including what happened, when the device was last seen, and information about the type of data on the device.
