IT Service Accounts

Description:

Service Accounts are specialized accounts used for technical or operational purposes such as running applications, automatons, integrations, testing workflows, or managing shared departmental functions. Service Accounts are one type of specialized account at the university.  Before submitting a request, please review the Knowledge Base article on account types to ensure this is the correct option: Article - Different Types of User Accounts

How to proceed: 

  • Click on the Request a Service Account button on the right to request a new account for applications, scripts, testing, or shared departmental use.  You will be redirected to a request portal to create your service account.  Note: This requires VPN.
     
  • Click on the Request Support for Service Accounts button on the right  if you need help determining whether a service account is appropriate for your needs, if you have questions about requirements or use cases, or if you are having issues with an existing service account.  An IT professional will review your submission during normal business hours. Coming soon: Learn more about Service Level Objectives.
