Google Cloud Platform (GCP) provides a cloud-based collaborative infrastructure to support research requirements and enable researchers to have quick access to Google Cloud resources. Cloud-based services and solutions such as GCP can help advance our campus's capabilities to improve health outcomes including:
- Increase business agility
- Create cost-effective security capabilities
- Accelerate growth
- Leverage new technologies and industry best practices
Who can use it:
- CU Anschutz Researchers who are:
- A named resource on an awarded research grant received by a principal investigator (PI) and that is tracked by the university
- A named resource in a PI-run lab or center
- Nominated for an account by a CU Anschutz PI
Cost:
Costs for the services are pre-determined by Google based on usage and billed through IT Billing services.
How to proceed:
- Click on the Request Access to GCP button on the right to begin the intake process. The team will review your request to determine eligibility for access to GCP and if approved, will work with you on the setup to determine associated costs.

- Those requesting access to GCP must meet predetermined criteria based on the project you are working on as well as security policies.
